A Motivational Training Game

This is a motivational training game that can be played with a larger group. The purpose of this game is to build team spirit and to show everyone the value of working together. It's also a great game to play at company outings (like picnics) or at family reunions.

You need very few materials for this motivational training game. Just a few whiffle balls (or other lightweight ball) and enough people to form at least three or four moderately sized groups (between 5 and 10 people in each).

You play this motivational training game as follows: Choose 1 game leader. This person will give out the instructions to all of the groups, they do not participate in any other way. The groups are in competition with each other. The object of the game is to have everyone in the group handle the ball only 1 time during each "cycle". You must toss the ball because only one person at a time can handle it. Once your group completes a "cycle" they continue until told to stop. You count up how many "cycles" your team completed.

The team with the highest score wins the round. When all rounds are completed, the team with the highest score wins. When first starting this motivational training game let everyone have a few practice "cycles" in order to get the feel of the game. Then the Game Leader tells everyone to start. After a few minutes you stop and see who won the round. Now, the game continues with the Game Leader changing the rules, now you go twice as fast, next have 1 person from each group leave (the come back after this cycle). The remaining people in the group have to make-up for the "lost" person by having on of the group handle the ball twice before the "cycle" completes. At the end of all the rounds determine a winner. The players will need skill to decide how best to complete each cycle. As the rules change, so should the way the "cycle" is completed.

This motivational training game is a fun way to develop team spirit and to build camaraderie among the participants.
